Bitget Withdrawal Whitelist: Set Up Trusted Addresses and Check Network Safety

Bitget’s withdrawal whitelist limits withdrawals to saved addresses when the setting is enabled. It can reduce the chance of sending funds to an unfamiliar destination, but it cannot verify that a saved address, blockchain network, or memo is correct. Check each of those details yourself before confirming any transfer.

Last verified: 24 September 2026 against the Bitget sources linked below. Availability, labels, security checks, and withdrawal holds may vary by account, app version, asset, and region. Follow the notice shown in your own account.

What the whitelist does—and does not do

Bitget’s withdrawal settings let you turn on an address whitelist so withdrawals are limited to entries in your address book. This is a destination restriction, not an insurance policy. It does not reverse a completed transfer or make an incorrect network, memo, or compromised saved address safe. Keep account protection separate from address checks; our Bitget passkey and 2FA guide explains the other layers.

How to set up a trusted withdrawal address

  1. Open the official Bitget website or app and sign in to the correct account. On the website, go to Profile → Security Settings → Withdrawal Settings. In the app, Bitget documents Menu → Profile → Security Settings → Withdrawal Settings. Menu names may differ by version.
  2. In the address book, add the destination you control. Select the intended coin and the exact supported blockchain network; paste the complete address rather than typing it. If the receiving platform requires a memo or tag, copy that too.
  3. Check the address, network, and memo against the receiving wallet or exchange. Read the full address, not just its first and last characters. Complete the account’s required security verification.
  4. Enable the withdrawal whitelist in Withdrawal Settings and confirm that the intended saved entry is available before starting a transfer. Where available, consider Bitget’s cross-device verification or one-minute cancellation as additional controls; they are not substitutes for checking the destination.
  5. For a first transfer, check the fee and minimum on Bitget’s live withdrawal screen, send a small test amount if practical, and confirm arrival before a larger withdrawal. The network must match the receiving side exactly.

Pre-withdrawal safety checklist

CheckWhy it matters
Asset and networkThe receiving wallet must support the same asset on the same chain.
Full saved addressA saved label or familiar-looking prefix does not prove ownership.
Memo or tagSome deposit destinations need an extra identifier to credit your account.
Live fee and limitsFees, minimums, and availability can change; use the confirmation screen.
Account noticeSecurity changes, verification, or risk controls may temporarily restrict withdrawals.

When a saved address is unavailable

First confirm that the whitelist is enabled, the address is saved for the intended asset and network, and all required verification steps are complete. If Bitget shows a withdrawal restriction, read the reason and end time in the account notice rather than assuming a fixed waiting period. Bitget says certain security changes can cause a temporary restriction, and other account or asset checks can also apply. Do not disable a security control simply to bypass a warning; use official Bitget support if the notice remains unclear.

Related settings and trade-offs

Bitget also describes cross-device verification and a one-minute withdrawal cancellation feature in Withdrawal Settings. These are separate options, so check whether your account offers them and what they actually cover. Bitget lists a passwordless-withdrawal setting as well; weigh convenience against your account’s security before changing authentication. A whitelist helps only if you keep the address book and sign-in methods secure.

Frequently asked questions

Does whitelisting guarantee a withdrawal is safe?

No. It restricts destinations to saved entries when enabled, but a wrong saved address, network mismatch, or missing memo can still cause loss or delay.

Is there always a 24-hour wait after adding an address?

Do not assume that rule. Bitget documents temporary withdrawal restrictions after some security changes, but the exact account notice and current policy determine your situation.

Can I recover an on-chain withdrawal sent to the wrong address?

On-chain transfers are generally irreversible after completion. Contact the receiving platform and Bitget support with the transaction ID, but recovery is not guaranteed.
