Bitget Convert and spot trading should be compared by the final amount you receive for the same input, not by the fee label alone. Bitget describes Convert as having no separate transaction fee, while its standard spot fee is 0.1% before account-specific adjustments. A zero-fee quote does not, by itself, establish a better result than an executable spot order after fees.

What differs between Bitget Convert and spot?
| Question | Convert | Spot |
|---|---|---|
| What is compared? | The quoted amount to receive for the selected input. | The amount actually executable at the chosen order type, less applicable fees. |
| How is the transaction priced? | A time-limited conversion quote. | Order-book prices and the conditions of your order. |
| Is a separate fee the whole cost? | No separate transaction fee does not prove price superiority. | Commission is one component; depth, partial fills and execution price also matter. |
| What remains uncertain before execution? | Whether an expired quote will be replaced by a different one. | Whether the requested amount will fill, at what prices, and with which maker/taker treatment. |
Bitget’s 2023 Convert launch explanation says Convert quotations can differ from spot-market prices. That is historical product context, not evidence of a fixed current spread. This guide does not assign a universal markup or assume one route is always cheaper.
Does “zero transaction fees” mean zero price difference?
No. A commission is a separately identifiable charge; a quote determines how much of the other asset you receive. Those are different measurements. To compare two routes fairly, use the same assets, direction, input size and observation time, then account for all relevant charges in the same unit.

Bitget’s fee FAQ, dated 20 August 2026, lists standard spot maker and taker fees at 0.1%, and 0.08% when the stated BGB-payment discount applies. It also describes Convert as zero transaction fees. These published rates are a baseline, not proof of your own account’s rate or of eligibility for every product.
Check the official fee page and the rate shown for your account and pair. If a fee is paid in BGB rather than the received asset, include the BGB cost in an equivalent unit before comparing. Do not simply treat the received-asset balance as the full economic result. This guide does not assume VIP, BGB and referral adjustments all stack.
A worked example: compare net BTC, not the fee headline
Every number below is hypothetical. Assume an input of 1,000 USDT, an executable average spot price of 50,000 USDT per BTC, and a spot fee of 0.1% charged in received BTC. The example assumes the full amount fills at that average price; it is not today’s market quote.
Gross BTC = 1,000 ÷ 50,000 = 0.02000 BTC.
Fee = 0.02000 × 0.001 = 0.00002 BTC.
Net spot result = 0.01998 BTC.
| Hypothetical route | Final BTC received | Comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Spot, after the assumed fee | 0.01998 BTC | Reference result |
| Convert quote A | 0.01994 BTC | 0.00004 BTC less than spot |
| Convert quote B | 0.01999 BTC | 0.00001 BTC more than spot |

Quotes A and B are alternative teaching cases, not simultaneous real offers. In case A, spot yields more despite its fee; in case B, Convert yields more. Neither case establishes a permanent advantage. Changing price, amount, depth, fee currency or account rate changes the comparison.
How to make a like-for-like comparison without placing an order
- Fix the direction and input. For example, compare USDT-to-BTC with the same USDT amount. A BTC-to-USDT quote is not the same experiment.
- Record the Convert output and quote time. Keep the units and expiry visible. A quote is not an executed transaction.
- Estimate spot from executable depth. For a buy, use available asks for the whole input, not the last-traded price or just the cheapest small order. An order book can change before execution.
- Apply the actual fee and currency. Distinguish a deduction from the received asset from a fee paid using another balance.
- Compare net output and uncertainty. If the snapshots were taken at different times or the spot amount cannot fill, say so rather than presenting a precise winning route.
A limit order sets a price condition but may not fill. A limit order that immediately crosses the book can receive taker treatment; “limit” alone is not a maker-fee guarantee. For execution conditions, see Bitget Post-only, IOC and FOK orders. Do not place a trade merely to collect a comparison screenshot.
Before confirming a conversion
Bitget’s Convert help guide, dated 10 March 2025, explains selection of the input/output assets and amount, review of the quote, confirmation, and credit to the spot account. Its documented quote window is eight seconds. Check the actual window shown now; if it expires, review the replacement quote rather than assuming the old amount remains valid.

- Verify the selected assets and the direction, including similarly named tokens.
- Check available balance and the minimum/maximum amount shown for that pair. There is no universal limit supplied by this guide.
- Read the final output, rounding and any conditions before confirming.
- Stop if the quote, asset or account is not what you intended. You are not required to transact.
The July 2025 Convert guide describes the web route under Trade → Convert & block trade and the app route under Trade → Tools → Convert. Names and layout may change. Product availability and account or regional restrictions still apply; a Korean translation does not establish availability in Korea, KRW support or permission to bypass restrictions.
If the conversion result or balance does not match
First distinguish a displayed quote, a submitted request and a completed conversion. The March 2025 help guide points users to conversion history, the spot balance and official support if credit is delayed. Do not repeat a submission just because a balance has not yet refreshed.

- Check conversion history for status, order ID, assets, input and final output.
- Compare with the correct spot balance, not an unrelated wallet or a rounded portfolio valuation.
- Record the displayed time and timezone. For cross-border support, include UTC; Korean readers can also record KST (UTC+9).
- If records conflict or credit remains delayed, contact support through Bitget’s verified site/app and provide the order ID and relevant records without credentials.
For a broader reconciliation process, see exporting Bitget transaction and order history. A later withdrawal can involve a separate network or withdrawal fee; do not attribute that automatically to the earlier conversion.
Questions that commonly lead to incorrect comparisons
Is Convert always cheaper than spot on Bitget?
No general conclusion follows from a zero transaction-fee statement. Compare the actual quoted output with an executable spot result after the applicable fee, for the same input and time.
Can I compare with the price chart?
A chart’s last price is not proof that your entire amount can execute there. Order-book depth, order conditions and fees determine the relevant spot estimate.
Does BGB fee payment automatically make spot better?
No. A lower commission changes one part of the calculation. The execution price and the economic cost of any BGB used still need to be included.
Should I use one service for every amount?
This guide does not recommend a universal route or a trade size. Decide whether the available evidence is sufficient; not transacting is also an option.
